The King's Speech Review

I went to see the King's Speech yesterday and I have to say I was extremely impressed. It stars Colin Firth and it was a very good film. Here is my review.

Here is the plot. This movie is about "Bertie", the current Duke of York who is kinged by the end of the film. That sounds like it would work out perfect for everyone, but there is only one problem, the king stutters. Firth pulls off the stutter perfectly, and his anger toward himself and his sadness about his life take center stage in this marvelous performance.
In comes Lionel Louge, a top knotch performance by Geoffrey Rush, the speech therapist Queen Elisabeth, amazing perfomance by Helena Bonham Carter, finds to help the king. He uses extremely strange methods but over time they start to form a friendship that defines the movie as a whole.
Eventually Firth is kinged on the eve of World War II, and he has to delever a important speech to the citizens of England. The ending is perfect, and is used beautyfully to great prevail.
I would give this movie a A- for great acting, a heartfelt plot, and a perfect ending.
